Traveling Acadian Festival taking place in October in Acadiana

The Louisiana Acadie Board announced they are hosting a week long traveling Acadian Festival that takes place once every 5 years. This Year The Acadie Board is “Celebrating the Arrival of the Acadians, to Louisiana 250 yrs ago, this year.”

This Festival, has many events geared to Bring the People to the People. It is all Acadian/Cajun Heritage being hosted by the People of the Small Towns and Cities as the board believes that is the best way to share and teach the Heritage.

Many of the Events are Free while some will have an admission cost. The board is focusing on the rich Acadian History, Heritage, Food, Music, Dance, and Language.
