On Friday (March 20), New Orleans Mayor LaToya Cantell issued a ‘Stay at Home’ mandate as the city desperately tries to crack down on the spread of COVID-19.
As of Friday afternoon, there are 299 cases of coronavirus in New Orleans, which is the most in the state. While officials stress the importance of social distancing, Cantrell has issued a ‘stay at home’ mandate for the weekend.
Essential businesses will remain open, but officials are stressing that residents should only leave their homes if the situation is critical. Only essential, emergency activities are permitted.
