A Pakistan International Airlines plane crashed in Karachi on a flight from Lahore, killing everyone on board.

The Airbus A320 was carrying 107 people en route to Jinnah International Airport.  The plane was approaching to land after a 90-minute flight before it crashed into a crowded neighborhood near the airport, destroying at least five or six homes.  The number of casualties on the ground has not been confirmed.

The civil aviation authority said the pilot called in a mayday saying that he lost an engine and was attempting to land when the plane crashed.
