Scratch Ticket Thief Returns to Same Store to Collect Winnings

A Florida man is accused of stealing scratch tickets from a convenient store, then returning to the same store to collect his winnings.

According to police in Clearwater, Florida, 27-year-old Herbert McClellan reached over the counter and stole 13 different scratch-off lottery tickets from a Speedway gas station.  The tickets, in total, were worth about $102.  Police say McClellan returned to the same store a few hours later to try and claim a $30 prize from one of the tickets.

McClellan was arrested for petit theft and dealing in stolen property.
