Process Changes for New Students Enrolling into Lafayette Parish School System

From the Lafayette Parish School System:

New Students Enrolling in the Lafayette Parish School System
Students, new to the Lafayette Parish School System, wishing to enroll in grades K-12 should report to the Vermilion Conference Center (VCC) located at 326 Gauthier Road in Lafayette, LA between the hours of 8 a.m. – 4 p.m., Monday – Friday (excluding district holidays) to begin the registration process.
Until further notice, individual school sites will not register new students. A new student is defined as a student who was not enrolled in LPSS during the 2019-2020 school year. Parents registering new students should not report to zoned schools, as they will be redirected to the Vermilion Conference Center for school registration.
Upon arrival at Vermilion Conference Center look for registration signage directing you to the appropriate registration area. For families new to the district interested in attending Lafayette Online Academy, please note that students will need to provide their own device and internet services. As a reminder, masks are required for entry to VCC, as with all LPSS facilities. In addition, temperatures will be checked, as LPSS follows all guidelines set forth by state health and education officials.
A list of documents needed for registration is located on the LPSS website: Families who are displaced due to Hurricane Laura, and who are missing required registration documents, are to let staff know upon arrival to the Vermillion Conference Center.
