Riverside County deputies seize more than 2,000 marijuana plants during Eastvale search warrant

Riverside County deputies seized more than 2,000 illegal marijuana plants while serving a search warrant in Eastvale on Wednesday afternoon, according to a department news release.

Deputies served the warrant around 4:15 p.m. at a home in the 6700 block of Leanne Street that authorities said was linked to illegal marijuana cultivation.

“During the service of the warrant, deputies determined the residence had been converted to support an illegal indoor marijuana operation,” deputies said. Deputies seized more than 2,000 marijuana plants with an estimated street value exceeding $1 million.

Deputies also said the suspects are believed to be involved in utility theft valued at approximately $145,000.

No arrests were announced in connection with the search warrant. However, representatives from Southern California Edison and the Eastvale Code Enforcement Team responded to the scene, where officials identified multiple building code violations.

Deputies said the investigation remains ongoing and no additional details will be released at this time. Anyone with information is asked to contact investigators at the Jurupa Valley Sheriff’s Station at (951) 955-2600.
