A 34‑year‑old man, Jonatan Gonzalez, was arrested on January 7, 2026, after a joint narcotics investigation at his home in the 600 block of Hosking Avenue in south Bakersfield uncovered just over 50 pounds of illegal drugs. Law enforcement executed a search warrant and seized a large cache, including 46.1 pounds of methamphetamine, 2.8 pounds of black tar heroin, 546 grams of cocaine, 513.5 grams of marijuana, 34.9 grams of fentanyl, and 507 pre‑packaged parcels suspected of controlled substances, along with $40,565 in cash.
Gonzalez was taken into custody without incident and now faces federal charges related to narcotics sales. The operation involved multiple agencies, including Bakersfield Police narcotics detectives, CHP officers on the DEA task force, DEA special agents, Homeland Security Investigations, California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR), and the United States Postal Inspection Service.
