Vincent Smith, 28, a Southern California babysitter, was arrested on allegations of committing lewd acts on a child while working in the Los Angeles area.
Smith, who also teaches snowboarding and runs a children’s snowboard club, had advertised childcare services online. Authorities said he has worked in multiple U.S. locations.
Smith was first arrested on Dec. 9, 2025, and charged two days later with two counts of lewd and lascivious acts on a child under 14. Prior to this, he faced charges for sexual assault on a child in Colorado Springs, Colorado, which is still ongoing.
Police are seeking additional victims and witnesses. Smith remains in custody.
He is described as a Black male, 5’11”, 230 lbs, with brown eyes and brown dreadlocks with blonde tips. Anyone with information is urged to contact Detective Lowery at 310-618-5570.
