A Galt man has been arrested following an investigation into allegations of child sexual abuse.
Galt police say they have been investigating 78-year-old Henry Balliet after the mother of the alleged victims reported him to authorities.
The alleged abuse involved the woman’s three daughters and reportedly occurred over several years and across multiple jurisdictions, police said.
Detectives interviewed each victim and collected corroborating evidence, which led to probable cause for an arrest.
Balliet was taken into custody on Jan. 6 and booked into Sacramento County Jail. He now faces multiple counts of lewd or lascivious acts with a child under 14 and sexual acts with a child under 10.
