A 70-year-old hiker stranded overnight in freezing conditions on Mt. Pinos was rescued Thursday by multiple search and rescue teams, including volunteers from Kern County and the L.A. County Fire Department.
Bakersfield Search and Rescue praised the coordinated effort, calling the outcome “a miracle” and thanking volunteers for their tireless work in bringing the hiker to safety.
