Woman Killed in Tesla-Semi Crash on 210 Freeway in Sylmar

A 19-year-old woman, Angie Rios, was killed Sunday morning in a collision involving a Tesla and a semi-truck on the eastbound Foothill (210) Freeway at the Polk Street off-ramp, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP).

The crash occurred around 5:10 a.m., and first responders assisted in extracting Rios from the wreckage, but she was pronounced dead at the scene. A Sigalert closed all eastbound lanes for nearly three hours before being lifted at 9:34 a.m.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
