Authorities have arrested 57-year-old Barney Lee in connection with the deadly assault of 29-year-old Elton Harrell on December 29, 2025, near La Palma Avenue and Western Avenue, close to Knott’s Berry Farm.
Police reported that officers found Harrell on the ground with severe injuries and rushed him to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Lee had fled the scene before authorities arrived.
On January 7, a SWAT team served a search warrant at a psychic business on La Palma Avenue, where Lee was located and taken into custody for homicide.
No motive or relationship between the victim and suspect has been released. Police stated the case appears to be an isolated incident and requested anyone with additional information contact Detective Kalagian at 714-562-3985.
