Riverside County Deputies Seize Over 2,000 Marijuana Plants During Eastvale Search Warrant

Riverside County deputies confiscated more than 2,000 illegal marijuana plants while executing a search warrant in Eastvale on Wednesday afternoon, according to a department news release.

The warrant was served around 4:15 p.m. at a home on the 6700 block of Leanne Street, which deputies said was linked to illegal marijuana cultivation.

“During the service of the warrant, deputies determined the residence had been converted to support an illegal indoor marijuana operation,” the release stated. Deputies estimated the street value of the seized plants at over one million dollars.

Authorities also noted the suspects are suspected of utility theft totaling an estimated $145,000.

No arrests were announced in connection with the warrant. Representatives from Southern California Edison and the Eastvale Code Enforcement Team were called to the home, where deputies found multiple building code violations.

Deputies said the investigation is ongoing and that no further details would be released at this time. Anyone with information is asked to contact investigators at Jurupa Valley’s Sheriff’s Station at (951) 955-2600.
