Around 10:54 p.m. on Monday, Turlock Police were called to a fight at Paul’s Food Mart on Geer Road. Some people were fighting, and one tried to use a garden hoe to break a window.
When the police arrived, the people involved had already left. Nearby, during a traffic stop, two officers were approached by the victim, a 19-year-old woman from Delhi, who was very upset and struggling to breathe, so they called for medical help.
The victim said she had run away from the fight and was approached by a man who offered to help her escape. Instead, he forced her into his truck and started driving. She told him she didn’t want to go with him. He stopped, got out, and started touching and kissing her. She managed to push him away and ran to the officers for help.
The victim had injuries from both incidents. It seemed the man tried to take advantage of her situation. She refused to go to the hospital and was taken by her boyfriend instead.
The suspect, who has not been identified, was described as an Indian male, 5’9” to 5’10” tall, with a beard, driving a white tow truck. No witnesses have been found.
