Tuition at Connecticut State Colleges and Universities CSCU will not increase next year thanks to a recently-approved tuition freeze.
The Connecticut Board of Regents for Higher Education decided to keep tuition the same for all state universities, Connecticut State Community College, and Charter Oak State College for the 2025-26 academic year.
CSCU Chancellor Terrence Cheng said this freeze will help students stay in Connecticut to study and earn their degrees.
This freeze means that tuition and mandatory fees will remain unchanged. However, food service fees will increase by about 4% on average at the universities, including Central CT State University, Southern CT State University, Western CT State University, and Eastern CT State University.
Marty Guay, chair of the Board of Regents, stressed the importance of finding ways to make education more affordable for students.
