Drone Activity Near U.S. and German Air Force Bases Raises Security Concerns

Recently, drone-like systems have been seen near Air Force bases in the U.S. and Germany, according to military officials.

At Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Ohio, small drones were observed last week, according to Bob Purtiman, the chief of public affairs for the 88th Air Base Wing. The base had to close one of its airspaces after drones were spotted over the weekend.

These drones came in different sizes and configurations, and the base is working with local law enforcement to ensure the safety of personnel and facilities.

Similarly, drones were seen near Hill Air Force Base in Utah. A spokesperson from the 75th Air Base Wing confirmed the sightings, but assured that the drones had not affected base operations.

They are monitoring the situation and working with local authorities to track the drones, and they asked people to report any suspicious activity to the police or base security.

In Germany, drones were spotted around Ramstein Air Base earlier this month. The Air Force is also working with local authorities there to monitor the airspace for security purposes.

Overall, the military is closely monitoring drone activity at these locations to ensure the safety and security of the bases.
