A former middle school teacher in Wisconsin, 24-year-old Nevan A. Larson, has been sentenced to one year of probation after pleading guilty to cocaine possession near a school.
According to court records, Larson received a withheld sentence, meaning he can avoid jail or prison time if he fulfills all probation conditions.
His probation terms include completing 100 hours of community service, paying court fees, providing a DNA sample, and maintaining either full-time employment or enrollment in education.
The incident occurred in May when a school resource officer at John Muir Middle School received a tip about possible drugs in Larson’s vehicle.
After a K9 search confirmed the suspicion, authorities discovered one gram of cocaine, leading to Larson’s arrest and detention in the Marathon County Jail.
