Former NFL Player Daniel Muir Charged After Son Found with Black Eye

Former Indianapolis Colts player Daniel Muir, 40, was arrested recently after his 14-year-old son Bryson, who had been missing for two weeks, was discovered at their home in Kokomo, Indiana.

Indiana State Police confirmed that Bryson Muir was found “safe and well” and is now under the care of the Cass County Department of Child Services. Daniel Muir faces charges of domestic battery and obstruction of justice. His wife, Kristin Muir, 38, was also arrested and charged with obstruction of justice.

Bryson was last seen on June 16 leaving a relative’s home in Ohio with his mother. They drove away in a car belonging to Servant Leader’s Foundation, a religious organization that owns the property where the Muir family lived. Police stopped the car shortly after they left, but Bryson was not with them.

Following concerns raised by the Cass County Department of Child Services about possible domestic battery, police tried to contact Bryson’s parents without success initially. Eventually, they agreed to arrange a meeting with Bryson, but later backed out of the plan, indicating unwillingness to cooperate.

On Wednesday, police located Bryson. A photo released by authorities showed the teenager with a black eye.
