Henrico Powerball Winners: Family Splits $1 Million Prize from June 22 Drawing

Henrico County, Va. — A Henrico man and three of his family members won a $1 million Powerball prize, reports the Henrico Citizen.

Daniel Ceroni purchased the winning ticket at Food Lion on New Market Road, letting the computer randomly select the numbers. Just before leaving town, he checked the June 22 Powerball numbers and was stunned to find his ticket matched five of the six winning numbers.

“I couldn’t believe it!” Ceroni said to Virginia Lottery officials.

Ceroni, along with family members Danielle Brundage, Tracy Zaldivar, and Teresa Bass, each received $250,000 before taxes.

The June 22 drawing had only two $1 million winning tickets sold nationwide, according to lottery officials.
