South Carolina Representative Jim Clyburn visited Augusta, Georgia, on Wednesday, where he joined local leaders at Antioch Missionary Baptist Church to campaign for Vice President Kamala Harris.
Clyburn spoke about the Harris-Walz campaign’s vision to push the country forward, emphasizing the importance of maintaining democracy.
If this election does not succeed in maintaining this democracy that’s kept this country together for so long, we could find ourselves reliving some history that all of us thought was behind us, Clyburn warned.
In addition to his campaign efforts, Clyburn participated in recovery efforts from Hurricane Helene, assisting with a water distribution event. Early voting in Georgia begins on October 15th.
