Logan, Utah Man Arrested After Calling 911 for Meth Overdose

A man in Logan, Utah, was arrested after he called 911 to report that he had used meth and needed to be checked by emergency services.

Arturo Trevino, 37, was arrested on December 2 for possession or use of a controlled substance, a felony, and for possessing drug paraphernalia, a misdemeanor.

Trevino told 911 dispatchers he had taken meth and needed medical help. When emergency responders arrived, they checked on him and confirmed he was okay. However, they learned that Trevino was on probation.

An officer noticed a tube-shaped object in Trevino’s sock, which he claimed was a metal rod. When the officer checked, they found a green substance inside that smelled like marijuana.

When probation officers arrived, they searched Trevino’s home and found several drug-related items, including a dollar bill with a crystalline substance and pieces of burnt foil with crystals. A field test showed the substance was methamphetamine.

A urine test later confirmed Trevino had meth, amphetamines, MDMA, and alcohol in his system. He was taken to jail on the drug charges.
