Motorcyclist Dies After Stunt Goes Wrong in Floor and Decor Parking Lot

On Saturday night, a motorcyclist tragically died after a stunt went horribly wrong.

Police were dispatched to the Floor and Decor parking lot near Woodmen and I-25 around 10 p.m. in response to reports of a motorcycle crash. Upon arrival, officers found a crowd of riders and a section of the fence that had been damaged.

According to a police lieutenant, the rider had been performing stunts in the parking lot when he lost control of the motorcycle. The bike crashed into a concrete retaining wall before coming to a stop in a nearby residential backyard.

Emergency responders located the rider in the yard, but he was pronounced dead at the scene. The identity of the rider has not been released as of now.

Initial investigations suggest that neither drugs nor alcohol were factors in the accident. The parking lot remained closed for several hours while authorities conducted their investigation.
