Poll Shows Ruben Gallego Leading Kari Lake by 15 Points in Arizona Senate Race

A recent FOX News poll shows Democrat Ruben Gallego with a significant lead in the Arizona Senate race.

Released on Wednesday, the poll indicates Gallego is leading Kari Lake by 56% to 41% in the race to replace Senator Kyrsten Sinema. The same poll also shows former President Donald Trump trailing Vice President Kamala Harris by one point.

Harris leads in key Sun Belt states, including Arizona, Georgia, and Nevada, and is just one point behind Trump in North Carolina. These results strengthen Harris’ chances of winning the Electoral College and put Trump’s campaign on the defensive, especially after both campaigns invested heavily in Pennsylvania.

Gallego, who recently earned an endorsement from the Arizona Police Association despite its president’s past support for Trump, has gained backing from several moderate groups. His advocacy for increased funding for law enforcement has been highlighted by the Association.

The Senate seat, currently held by Democratic-caucusing Independent Sinema, is vital for Democrats hoping to maintain Senate control.

Gallego and Lake are scheduled to debate on October 9, the first day of early mail-in voting in Maricopa County.

Lake, who continues to question the results of the 2020 election and her 2022 gubernatorial loss, was recently interrupted by aggressive prompts at a Trump rally for exceeding her speaking time. She is also involved in a defamation lawsuit filed by the former Republican Maricopa County recorder, which she has appealed to the Arizona Supreme Court.
