Wiz Khalifa was caught with illegal drugs after he smoked on stage in Romania.
According to Page Six, he was performing at the Beach Please! Festival on Saturday night (July 13) when Romanian police took him away.
Wiz Khalifa had 18 grams of cannabis. During his performance, he wore a black vest and shiny chains. He took a joint from his pocket, lit it, and smoked it on stage. The audience cheered, but the Romanian police did not approve. In Romania, having cannabis can get you up to 10 years in prison. A video is circulating on social media showing the police leading him away.
The rapper was questioned early on July 14 and charged but was later released.
Khalifa posted on X (formerly Twitter) to explain what happened. He said, “Last night’s show was amazing. I didn’t mean any disrespect to Romania by smoking on stage. They were very respectful and let me go. I’ll be back soon. But without a big joint next time.”
This is typical for Wiz Khalifa, who is known for smoking a lot. Complex reported that earlier this year, Wiz said he smokes about 30 joints a day.
